ORI(10F) Insulation resistance tester
I. Product introduction
The ORI (10F) Insulation Resistance Tester – also known as a megohmmeter, high-voltage megohmmeter, or high-voltage insulation resistance tester – is commonly used for insulation resistance testing in laboratory or field settings. This instrument features a dual-layer housing and integrates a 5.6-inch color LCD screen for displaying test results. It comes with a bilingual (Chinese/English) operating interface and a user-friendly keypad design, eliminating the need for users to spend excessive time familiarizing themselves with the device. Additionally, it supports various functions including data storage, data retrieval, data retention, and data transmission.
This instrument features high measurement resolution, user-friendly operation, and portability; it is accurate, reliable, offers stable performance, and possesses strong resistance to electromagnetic interference. Additionally, it incorporates a shockproof, dustproof, and moisture-proof design, making it an indispensable device widely used in telecommunications, power utilities, meteorological services, data centers, oil fields, mechanical and electrical installation and maintenance operations, as well as in industrial enterprises that utilize electricity as industrial power or energy source.
This instrument is constructed using medium-to large-scale integrated circuits and incorporates a high-precision microcurrent measurement system, a digital step-up voltage conversion system, and an automatic discharge circuit. The wiring is simple—measurement can be performed by connecting the device under test to just one high-voltage lead and one signal lead. To eliminate leakage current generated during testing, a shielded cable connected to the green port should be used; this effectively reduces measurement errors incurred during the testing process.
Insulation resistance testing is a qualitative method used to determine whether the electrical insulation of a device is effective; the measured parameters reflect the effectiveness of the device's electrical insulation. This test is particularly suitable for measuring the resistance values of various insulating materials, as well as the insulation resistance of bushings, transformers, motors or generators, cables, and electrical equipment. The polarization index and absorption ratio obtained from this test can be used to assess whether the insulation of the tested device is affected by moisture.
